Dan Hole Pond Watershed Trust, NH – For support of the purchase of 295-acre Thurley Mountain, part of an on-going strategy to preserve the Dan Hole Pond Watershed Area, Ossippee Region, Carroll County, New Hampshire.

Downeast Lakes Land Trust, ME – For support of the purchase of 3,560-acre Fourth Machias Lake Ecological Reserve; adjacent to the State of Maine's 3,780-acre Duck Lake Ecological Reserve; part of 27,000-acre Farm Cove Township and larger conservation strategy of over 300,000 acres with New England Forestry Foundation known as the Downeast Forestry Partnership, Grand Lake Stream, Washington County, Maine.
$400,000 interest-free loan (converted to grant in 2005)

Finger Lakes Land Trust, NY – For support of the purchase of the 14-acre Coleman property, an in-holding within the 500-acre Lindsay-Parsons Biodiversity Preserve and adjacent to 7,000-acre State Forest in Danby, Tompkins County, New York.

Medomak Valley Land Trust, ME – For support of the purchase of the 272-acre Burkett's Mill Property, part of larger strategy to protect Medomak Valley Watershed, Waldoboro, Lincoln County, Maine.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada / The Nature Conservancy, Maine Chapter – For the acquisition of 10,000-acres of land on Mt. Sutton, Quebec, as part of a regional strategy to establish a larger core preserve at Mt. Sutton and link with protected areas in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Much of this support generated a matching grant with another donor.

The Nature Conservancy, Massachusetts Chapter – For support of the acquisition of 665-acre Camp Hi-Rock, Mt. Washington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, a critical element of the Berkshire-Taconic Landscape Project, protecting roadless highlands and rare wetlands.
